Live vs on demand

Recordings teach the framework. Live solves the situation.

The On-Demand Library teaches you the frameworks on your own schedule, from any state, and that is genuinely useful. But the moments that cost owners money are situation moments. A complaint just came in. A worker's classification just got challenged. A termination just got messy.

Live workshops let you bring your real situations into the room and walk out with a real path forward. Pattern recognition from 500+ real cases. Hearing other owners' similar challenges and learning from them too. That is why every class is live, and every class has Q&A.

Honest self-check

Who are these HR workshops for?

This is for you if

  • You own a business with 1 to 50 employees, in any state
  • You want answers to your specific situations, and less generic theory
  • You're concerned about compliance but don't know what you're missing
  • You'd rather prevent a $50,000 mistake than litigate one
  • You want to learn alongside other owners facing the same challenges

This isn't for you if

  • You already have an in-house HR team or a fractional CHRO
  • You're in active employment litigation. Call an attorney first
  • You want one-on-one help with your company. That is the retainer
  • You're looking for legal advice. This is education

Questions

Before you enroll.

Read every question and answer

I'm not in New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania. Is this still for me?

Yes. Every class teaches the federal framework that applies everywhere, plus how to find and handle your state's rules, and the live Q&A works through your state's specifics case by case.

Why is there no free webinar or trial class?

Live time is the most valuable thing about these workshops, so it isn't given away. The Penny story and the free guides are there to help you decide whether the classes fit before you spend a dollar.

What if I miss a class I bought?

Every class is recorded and posted within 24 hours. Bundle buyers can also attend any future cycle of the same class within 12 months. Single class buyers get the recording and the workbook.

Can I take just one class, or do I have to do all four?

Single classes are $197 each, and Class 4 is $247. Each class stands on its own, with no prerequisites. Most owners start with the class that addresses their most pressing concern and add others later.

How big are the classes?

Capped at 30 attendees, because larger classes can't sustain real Q&A. Once a class is full, you go on the waitlist for the next cycle, which is no more than 8 weeks away.

Is this a substitute for a lawyer?

No. This is HR education, not legal advice. When you need legal counsel, especially during active investigations or pending litigation, we will tell you, and we have a network of employment attorneys to refer to.

What is the refund policy?

Live workshops get a full refund up to 48 hours before the session. Inside 48 hours there is no refund, but you can transfer your seat to any future cycle of the same class. Digital products are delivered instantly, so those sales are final.

Can I get an invoice for my bookkeeping?

Yes. Stripe sends a receipt when you pay. For a custom invoice, email meghan@luman-group.com and one will be issued the same day.
